Solution to iPhone Can’t read or compose emails. Text box is blank
Had this problem with my iPhone & found a fix via a Google support forum … Also, works for non Gmail account problems too …
1. Open the mail app.
2. Hold down the lock button to get to the restart screen.
3. Then hold down the home button for ~5 seconds.
4. Gve the mail app time to restart.
