Quick Tip: Preview Public URLs in Chrome →
When I’m logged into a web app and I need to check what a page looks like to the public (in the logged-out state), I simply open a new Chrome window in Incognito mode. Good tip from thinkvitamin.com.  Keeps you from having to continually log out or start up...

Security researcher finds 'cookiejacking' risk in... →
Demonstrating his findings at security conferences this month in Switzerland and Amsterdam, Valotta acknowledges that to exploit the hole, the hacker must employ a bit of social engineering because the victim must drag and drop an object across the PC for the cookie to be stolen.

Cloudshare Makes VM Testing a Snap -... →
… One of the better cloud computing bargains can be found at Cloudshare.com. For a reasonable price, corporate IT departments can have up to six individual virtual machines (VMs) in their own private cloud. That is a deal, and makes the pain of software testing a lot more bearable. Related: http://www.crunchbase.com/company/cloudshare

The End Of Blippy As We Know It →
… So it turns out that almost nobody wants people to check out their purchases. And also that just adding a social element to a feature isn’t enough to make it useful. The lessons of user adoption are sometimes learned the hard way.

MacroSolve Joins Lodsys in Suing Mobile App... →
… The only real hope is that Apple, Google and Micrsoft get involved on the mobile companies’ behalf, and either provide legal assistance (a short term solution) or lobby for changes to the patent system itself. Ideally, they will do both.

B&N Serves Up 1 Million Nook App Downloads →
Barnes & Noble launched its App Store on April 24 and 1 million downloads in about a month isn’t too shabby. The only thing holding the store back is probably the pricing. The minimum pricing is set to $2.99, which prevents more casual app discovery.
